We are now live (9/1/13)! Can we get a group of teachers to all participate in the same statistical experiment and then share the data and analyze?
What is the new ratio of m&m colors? Well we'd like you to help us figure that out.
Students and teachers can conduct their own experiment on bags of M&Ms and share the data.
We'll be using the 1.69 oz./47.9g bags of milk chocolate m&m's.

Where did this project come from?
@approx_normal: What the HELL!!?! “@evelynjlamb: Crisis in stats education: Mars changed the ratios of m&m colors and won't tell us what it is! #MAAthFest”
@hfxmark: But if I buy a big enough bag and do a population count...can't I get pretty close to the new ratio?
@approx_normal: I say we create the "global stats mafia" and figure stuff like this out.
@aanthonya: let's do a stats class Skype sampling! Share combined data?
@druinok: since we are all over the country, are they all from the same plant?
..........and on and on
How about using hashtag #WTHM&M What the hell M&M?
